And, no, it really isn't that hard.
I'm going to hold up my hands and admit I made a mistake - my animosity towards AD&D 2nd Edition clouded my judgement and I allowed D&D 3.0 to pass me by with a dismissive wave of my hand. It's a really good game. I'm kind of looking forward to running it.
Just wanted to get that off my chest.
The truth is, you're weak. You have succumbed to the might of many voices on the internet. Many shouting voices, all demanding more D&D. Soon, you'll find yourself playing a mashup of D&D, AD&D 2,3,3.5 and 4.
ReplyDeleteAfter that, there's no saving you. ;)
I know. The body is strong but the soul is weak, like American beer.
ReplyDeleteI'm just getting nostalgic because I'm missing the simplicity of my younger Basic D&D days. I'm also sick and tired of hearing about D7D 4th and Pathfinder and the millions of intricate details about character builds and minmaxing and all that stuff. So I purposefully chose an edition that nobody was talking about any more. And for 20 quid for all three books, I was laughing!
But you're right, my soul is damned and any authority or credibility I might have had is now officially out the window.
Damn you! Damn you all to hell! *beats fist on sand*
