Cloverfield review

I finally saw it last night, it's a movie I've wanted to see for quite a while.

It's a quite simple review, really - sheer frustration. Everything the character's did in the movie was the exact opposite of what any sane person would do. Honestly, what the hell? Other than that, it was well realised and certainly looked the part. It was just that there were several times I just wanted to punch that main guy out and drag him out of there.

Dumbass.

  1. I just wasn't sure why I was supposed to care if this bunch of inane, self-absorbed, full-of-themselves, New Yorker tw*ts were eaten or not. Pretty much everyone except the goth deserved it.

  2. You've nailed it - I simply did not care about any of the characters except for the poor girl with the curly hair because she was never meant to be there in the first place.

I also think they should have chosen another city other than New York to get attacked. I had that 'been there done that' attitude to it - there's only so many times I can see that city get attacked (in the Hollywood sense) before I simply don't give a flying monkey poop about it.

Also there was far too much 'Oh my God! Oh my God! This is terrible! This is so bad!' Well, fucking run away from it then!!!!
